Kaş is a place that naturally slows you down. No pressure, no rush — just warm light, clear water, and small everyday moments that quietly stay with you.

Arriving in Turkey & the Road to Kaş
We arrived in Antalya in the early afternoon, hungry and ready to finally start our trip. Instead of driving straight to Kaş, we decided to make a short stop along the way — and it turned out to be the perfect first impression of the region.
In Kemer, we stopped at Qualista Restaurant Marina, located right by the harbor. Great food, a beautiful setting, and exactly what we needed after the flight. The mix of local specialties and the relaxed marina atmosphere made it an ideal place to pause before continuing the drive.
If you have time, you could also stop by Çıralı Beach, which many consider one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. We skipped it this time and continued our journey.
On the way, we also visited the Lycian Rock Tombs of Myra — an impressive and slightly surreal sight carved directly into the rock. Definitely one of those places that stays in your mind.

First Evening in Kaş
By the time we arrived in Kaş, the light was already getting softer. We walked through the town, watched people strolling, sitting by the harbor, enjoying the evening. Kaş is small, but full of life. Boats, cafés, conversations, scooters passing by — everything feels calm, but never boring.
We stayed at Carruba Boutique Hotel, which became our quiet retreat during the week. If you want more details about the hotel, I’ve written a separate article about it.

Getting to Know the Town
The next days were all about exploring Kaş at an easy pace. The old town is perfect for wandering around — small streets, colorful houses, cafés and restaurants on almost every corner. Kaş really stands out because it’s compact, but still offers so much to discover.
One evening, we had dinner at Dayı Kaş, which quickly became one of our favorite spots. Great atmosphere, excellent food, and a place I would absolutely recommend if you’re visiting.

Coffee Stops & Slow Mornings
One morning, we started the day at GODO COFFEE & MORE. Amazing coffee and, without exaggeration, some of the best cakes in Kaş. A perfect place to fuel up before heading out.
Another favorite was CaFe LoKaL — very affordable, great coffee, and surprisingly good cookies and snacks. Simple, honest, and very local.
For lunch or dinner, Naturel is also highly recommended. Delicious dishes, well prepared, and a relaxed atmosphere that fits perfectly into Kaş.

Patara Sand Dunes at Sunset
One evening, we drove to the Patara Sand Dunes. The road there is a bit rough, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. Wide dunes, open views, and a sunset that feels almost unreal. There were a few people around, but the landscape is so vast that it never felt crowded.

A Day on the Water
One of the highlights of our stay was a full-day boat tour. Kaş is closely connected to the sea, and seeing it from the water gives you a completely different perspective.
We visited İnönü Bay and Akvaryum Koyu, both with incredibly clear water and calm surroundings.
The highlight, though, was Simena (Kaleköy). You arrive by boat and can walk up to the castle at the top. The view from there is stunning. On the way back down, locals sell homemade ice cream, juices, and small snacks — simple, authentic, and very charming.

Beaches, History & Easy Days
Another day started again with coffee at CaFe LoKaL, before heading to Kaputaş Beach. There’s an entrance fee, but it’s easy to reach by car, well organized, and absolutely beautiful. Turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, and plenty of space to enjoy the day.
If you’re already on the road, it’s worth stopping at Tlos Antike Stadt. The site is impressive, rich in history, and gives you a deeper sense of the region’s past.

Final Days in Kaş
During our last days, we spent more time simply being in the town. Watching boats come and go, people moving through the harbor, scooters passing by. Kaş feels alive, but never overwhelming.
We stopped by Coflow for a strawberry matcha and bagels — a modern little spot that fits surprisingly well into the town.
In the evening, we enjoyed cocktails at YAZ RÜYASI Pell’s. Great drinks, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples or anyone who wants to end the day slowly.
We also visited Dudu Mutfak, a small restaurant with very tasty food — simple, authentic, and worth stopping by.
And of course, cats. Kaş is full of them. One evening, a cat followed us part of the way back to the hotel, sat down, and looked at us like it belonged exactly there. Somehow, that felt very fitting for this place.
